The Trent University Alumni is pleased to honour students who are making a difference in the lives of those around them each year.
Robert W.F. Stephenson Prize for students demonstrating excellence in student governance.
The Robert W.F. Stephenson Prize for Excellence in Student Governance was established in honour of the late Robert Stephenson upon the completion of his term as Chair of Trent University’s Board of Governors. Mr. Stephenson was the first Trent alumnus to serve in this role. Valued at $1,000, the prize has recognized outstanding student leaders since it was first awarded in 1995. The award highlights the vital role of student leadership in contributing to the overall mission of Trent University.

David Glassco Prize
The David Glassco Prize was established in 2013 to honour the late David Glassco, a long-time faculty member in the Department of English Literature and former principal of Champlain College. Professor Glassco’s impact extended beyond the classroom to include contributions to athletics, theatre, and music, both on campus and in the wider community. Valued at $1,000, the prize recognizes a student who demonstrates exceptional generosity of spirit through involvement in activities such as music, athletics, or theatre within the Trent and Peterborough communities. The award celebrates the important role of student engagement and leadership in enriching campus and community life..
