Bacteria possess unique abilities to breakdown organic compounds, including steroids. Some pathogens grow on steroids to help them survive in their human host. Studies of steroid catabolic enzymes provide fascinating insights into enzyme mechanisms and targets for novel therapeutics. Location: Trent University Otonabee College 203 (Lecture Hall)
