TUAA Structure 

The TUAA Council is comprised of the Chairs of all committees, Chapter Leaders, the President(s), and Director of Alumni Engagement & Services. Only the President(s) and Volunteer Chairs of the Committees are voting members.

Awards & Recognition
The awards committee encourages nominations for the annual Alumni Awards, and then evaluates all received nominations and chooses the recipients. It will also consider the candidates for Honorary Alumni, Jade Circle (awarded to alumni who complete two terms on the Board of Governors for Trent University) and Emerald Circle (awarded to alumni who complete a term as Chancellor).  Nominations are open at the beginning of each year. The awards are presented at selected alumni events throughout the following year. For more information please visit our Alumni Awards website.

Convocation
The Convocation committee will help the graduating students celebrate their achievements with their family, friends, faculty and classmates following each Convocation ceremony. They will also organize and facilitate the 50th anniversary reunion class each year. For more information please email convocation@trentu.ca.

Durham GTA
The Durham-GTA committee is established to serve as advisors on and provide support to the campus and alumni events. The committee will work closely with the Alumni Engagement & Services (AE&S) staff to help with the creative development, planning and execution of Durham GTA events and programs.
Co-Chaired by the TUAA representative and the Coordinator, Alumni Engagement & Services with a maximum of five members, who completed all or part of their studies at the Durham GTA campus.

Homecoming
Trent University’s Homecoming has been celebrated along with the annual Head of the Trent Rowing Regatta on the Saturday before Thanksgiving since 1972. The Homecoming Committee will serve as advisors on homecoming planning and provide support to the campus and alumni events, in-person and virtual. Trent Day
Trent Day marks the April 3, 1963 signing of The Trent Act and the formation of Trent University. This annual celebration was established to reinforce the University’s founding values, raise Trent spirit through events, and promote giving through volunteer service in your community or through philanthropy to support student needs.

Strategic Advisory Committee 
The Strategic Advisory Committee is established to provide a variety of perspectives and knowledgeable guidance that will help inform the work and priorities of the Alumni Engagement & Services Department and the Trent University Alumni Association.  Committee members are chosen based on their career and community leadership experience, as well as previous involvement and interest in advancing Trent University.
