Trent University stands in support of an independent Ukraine. We call upon the world to take measures to end the egregious violence against a peaceful nation and bring about a return to peace and democracy. Our campuses include students, faculty and staff from Ukraine and Russia as well as those who have ties to family, friends and colleagues in both countries. 

This fundraising campaign is focused on helping Trent students who are affected. We welcome donations to assist students in financial difficulty as a result of funds frozen in their home country. All donations received, up to $10,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the President’s Office.

Financial Aid will also release funds to assist with tuition fees, books and food, and distribute gift cards for groceries through Trent International. The University is prioritizing applications from students in Ukraine and working closely with IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) as well as our colleagues across the province and the country to find ways to help members of our campus community in Ukraine.
