2021 TRENT UNIVERSITY ALUMNI AWARD RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED
Trent Alumni Association Plans Series of Events to Recognize 2021 Alumni Award Winners

The continued remarkable contributions of Trent alumni to the betterment of their alma mater, their communities, and the world as a whole, will be celebrated as the Trent University Alumni Association (TUAA) presents the 2021 Alumni Awards.

“We are pleased to celebrate the 2021 award winners and share with the entire Trent community just how proud we are of their contributions and accomplishments,” said Lee Hays, director of Alumni Engagement & Services. “The recipients are outstanding examples of the impact of a Trent education.”

This year’s Distinguished Alumni Award recipients, recognized for their leadership and prominence within their field, include Ken Hartwick ’81, president and CEO of Ontario Power Generation; and strategic communications specialist, broadcast journalist, compère and TV producer, Anita Erskine ’99.

Spirit of Trent Award recipients, recognized for making a difference, through contribution to the university or their community, include Rachel Stoparczyk ’91, coordinator of Volunteer Services at Perley Health; and Tracy Milne ’02, operations manager for the Trent Central Student Association.

The Paul Delaney Award, recognizing a student or a recent alum whose work sowing seeds of friendship and a spirit of philanthropy makes them an outstanding model for Trent students to emulate, will be given to Dane Bland ’10, Director of Development & Communications at Rainbow Railroad.

Gemma (Jess) Grover ’02 is the most recent recipient of the Tony Storey Alumni Service Award, which is presented to an alumni volunteer who has demonstrated a significant and long-term commitment to the Trent University Alumni Association (TUAA) and/or Trent University.
