Join Trent’s CEO-in-Residence for Public Lectures, Panel Discussion

Anita Erskine ’99, CEO of Anita Erskine Media, will offer three inspiring and informative public events in Peterborough and Durham from February 27 to March 2

Members of the Trent University community are welcome to join a series of events from February 27 to March 2 as part of the CEO-in-Residence program with international media icon and alumna Anita Erskine ’99. 

Erskine, an award-winning communications professional and CEO of Anita Erskine Media who has been ranked one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Africa, will be delivering the lecture ‘Innovation, Inspiration, and Inclusion in the New School of Business’ in Enwayaang on February 27. She will then lead a panel discussion entitled ‘Leading Women Speak: What Leadership Means to the Fight for Gender Equality’ in Enwayaang on March 1. The other panelists are Emily Whetung-MacInnes ’03, Chief emeritus Curve Lake First Nation; Gillian Kunza ’04, co-founder and CEO of the wealth management company Designed Securities Ltd.; and Kristi Honey, a Trent University governor and CAO for the Township of Uxbridge. Erskine will then be at the Trent Durham GTA campus on March 2 to deliver the lecture ‘Passion, Purpose, Prosperity: Your place in the world after Trent’.

The CEO-in-Residence program, coordinated through the School of Business and the student-alumni mentorship program Life After Trent, gives students at both the Peterborough and Durham GTA campuses opportunities to learn from business leaders across the country and around the globe.  

As the 2023 CEO-in-Residence, Erskine will also be inspiring and mentoring Trent Business students through one-on-one meetups and classroom lectures. 

The University’s inaugural CEO-in-Residence was Dr. Katie Taylor, chair of the board of the Royal Bank of Canada, and past president and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
