TUFA Supports Students with $10,000 Donation to the Student Rapid Relief Fund
Demonstrating their continued commitment to students when they need it most.

Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) has shown its continued support for Trent students with a $10,000 donation to the Student Relief Fund (SRRF). Launched in May as part of the #TrentUCares campaign, the SRRF supports students experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19.
"Supporting students has never been more important, and TUFA's donations help ensure access to education for students whose financial situation has changed due to circumstances beyond their control,” said Sherry Booth, director of Philanthropy. “It is wonderful to see the entire Trent community rally behind our students, and I think this is just another example of the Trent difference that we speak about every day.”
As part of its ongoing efforts to support students, Trent University has provided over $675,000 in emergency funding to more than 1,200 students – including domestic, international, undergraduate, and graduate students. The total was enhanced by Trent’s five colleges, Trent University Alumni Association, OPSEU, Trent Deans, alumni, staff, faculty and friends. It is just one of many initiatives in place to ensure student success through these unprecedented times.
Meanwhile, fundraising efforts continue, as increasing requests for support are anticipated due to the loss of summer employment opportunities students normally count on to carry them through the fall and winter term. Students in need of financial assistance are encouraged to contact Trent's Financial Aid office, Trent International, or the School of Graduate Studies for eligibility and application.
Trent University has a long-standing reputation for supporting students to finance their education and has been ranked #1 in Canada for scholarships and bursaries by Maclean’s magazine for 19 years in a row.
