1. Step 1 Selection
  2. Step 2 Registration
Wednesday April 3
2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Museum Director, Susan Neale ’79, invites you to join a Research Bee, where volunteers will help gather more information on select Peterborough properties! The Archivist will provide an orientation on how to use the City Directories, which participants will then use to choose a property from a list provided by the Archivist and complete a research worksheet on that property, resulting in a series of completed worksheets that trace occupancy of the selected properties. This work is invaluable in providing information to public researchers interested in their house's history. It also will provide a bank of data for buildings depicted in images from the Archives’ photographic collections. Once participants have had a chance to research the buildings recommended by the Archivist, they can use the same techniques to research properties of personal interest to them (their own house, buildings or businesses that capture their imagination etc.).
