Community Action Through Research
The Trent Community Research Centreis an independent facilitator of community-based research.
In community-based research, the questions come from the community and, using credible research methods, community members, researchers, professors and students work collaboratively to find the answers. Trent University students gain academic credit and on-the-job experience by undertaking supervised research projects for local community organizations.
Research projects range widely, from evaluating the impact of community economic development projects, to comparing farmers’ market management approaches.
