The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation
Our students need to prepare for a rapidly-changing society and workplace, with high youth unemployment, constrained economic growth, and changing business leadership. Trent’s new Centre for Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation will equip our students with the knowledge, tools, experiences and supports to become successful innovators, entrepreneurs and change agents, whether in business, social or environmental innovation.
The Centre will help students develop the hard skills, such as financial and business planning, sales and marketing, negotiation and raising capital, as well as soft skills such as resilience, risk-taking and creativity. This central hub will bring Trent’s existing initiatives together, connect students across various programs, engage with community partners, embed entrepreneurship into programs and classrooms, and develop a wide array of experiential learning opportunities.
Philanthropic investments will build facilities and create programs that provide education and experience at all four stages of the entrepreneurship cycle: education, ideation, incubation and acceleration.
Help us unleash the potential!
