The Canadian Difference Project

The Canadian Difference Project is a place for all Canadians to discuss one of the most profound facets of the Canadian experience – the way we have accommodated our differences, the challenges of our geography, and the fact of living next to the United States.

The project hopes to explore place of mutual accommodation in Canada’s story. We’ll uncover and debate Canada’s successes and failures in dealing with our many differences and the challenges we faced. We’ll also discuss how the pursuit of mutual accommodation could shape a better future for Canada and the world.

The bilingual conversation takes place mostly online through podcasts and discussion forums, moderated by Trent University graduate students. The goal is to engage Canadians across the country in an unprecedented conversation about their country.

Help us unleash the potential!
