Children of Alumni Scholarship Story: Cassidy Dawson ‘15

Business Administration graduate, Cassidy Dawson ‘15 comes from a long line of Trent University Alumni. Following in the footsteps of her father, uncle, and grandfather, who all attended the university before her, Cassidy knew she was making the right choice to attend Trent. As a result of one of her parents having attended Trent, Cassidy was awarded the Children of Alumni Scholarship, which had a profound impact on her first year. Because of the scholarship, she was able to live in a Trent residence, among her peers, which better positioned her to experience campus events and participate in TCSA clubs such as the Trent Dance Team and Trent Marketing Association.

Since graduating, Cassidy has put her Bachelor of Business Administration and coop experience at Central Smith Creamery to work, earning a position at Scotiabank as a financial advisor, where she gained her mutual fund accreditation. Cassidy has since made the leap into a new position at Central Smith, where she works as a sales and operations analyst and marketing specialist.

Applications for the 2023 Children of Alumni Scholarship will be accepted until August 31, 2023.
