Trent University Alumni Association (TUAA)

The spirit of Trent lives on, long after graduation. As a graduate or past student of Trent University, you automatically become a lifelong member of the Trent University Alumni Association (TUAA), and join a network of over 50,000 alumni living across the globe!

The TUAA strives to create meaningful opportunities for alum to celebrate their love for the University. Regional Groups and Chapters, Shared Interest Groups, Reunions, and Events are all a vital part of the Alumni Association. TRENT magazine is the official publication of the TUAA.

Keeping your contact info up-to-date is the best way to stay informed about what’s happening with the TUAA.

The TUAA Constitution guides the association and all alumni are welcome to our next AGM on November 3rd, 2018 on Trent Durham’s Campus.

 Alumni Association Annual General Meeting

The next AGM will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.. The meeting will be held in CC 307, Trent University.

Trent University Alumni Council

Trent University Alumni Association’s Council is the volunteer body responsible for the affairs of Council. It includes 10 at-large Councillors, a Council-Colleges Liaison, an alumni representative to Trent’s Senate, and an Executive consisting of four Vice-Presidents, a President, and a Past President – all elected at the TUAA AGM. Three student representatives, including one from ACE, and the staff of Alumni Affairs round out the team.

Council meets 5-6 times per year, usually at Trent Peterborough or Trent Durham campuses. All meetings are open to all alumni and are available through distance technology. If you are interested in attending a meeting, contact Jess Grover, President, for more information.

The work of Council is broken into four portfolios:


Council Organization:
• Honorary alumni designations
• Recruitment and nominations
• Volunteer recognition
• Professional development for Council
• TUAA governance matters

Campus Communities:
• Alumni engagement in University matters, including the Board, Senate, Colleges, and advisory committees
• Linking students and alumni
• On campus opportunities for alumni participation, including events

Engagement and Philanthropy:
• Chapters
• Shared Interest Groups
• International alumni
• Alumni philanthropic engagement
• Alumni awards

Communications and Member Services:
• Alumni communication tools, such as Trent Magazine and monthly e-newsletter
• TUAA Annual Report
• Affinity partners and alumni benefits


Council does much of its work through committees. The committees for the 2017-18 year include Awards, Benefits and Services, Campus Affairs, Communications, Engagement, and Governance. Committee membership is open all alumni, not just Councillors. Committees meet 2-4 times per year via teleconference.
