Members of the Trent University community, and members of the public are invited to attend what promises to be a thought-provoking lecture by Historian, Trent alumnus, Order of Canada Member and award winning author, Dr. Tim Cook '90. This free public lecture will be held in downtown Peterborough, at the Market Hall from 7 - 9 pm and will include a lecture with Q&A followed by a reception with refreshments, book sales & signing. Dr. Cook's lecture, "The Legacy of Canada's Great War" will examine the multiple legacies of the Great War of 1914-1918 and its enduring impact on Canadian politics, society, identity, and culture. He will also explore how the war and the terrible sacrifice of lives continue to haunt Canada and much of the world.
