Bern Kelly '81 welcomes volunteers from KPRDSB to Teachers for Kids, an initiative founded in 1986 by two teachers who believed that a little bit of help could make a lifetime of difference for students in need. TFK has provided over half a million dollars to help students participate in sports, trips, tutoring, and other extracurricular activities. They also provide items necessary for students' social and emotional well-being such as clothing, prescriptions, counseling, help to families dealing with serious illnesses, etc. Note: This volunteers activity takes place prior to Trent Day, on Thursday, March 30 at a regularly scheduled TFK monthly meeting.
