Honour your Trent story this holiday season by dedicating a seat in Stohn Hall
Whether it was opening the door to a career, meeting a lifelong friend, spouse, or favourite professor - Trent is a special place for so many.
As we cap off 2021, we want to hear your Trent stories and give you the opportunity to leave your mark on campus for perpetuity, while making an immediate impact on Trent students.
With a donation of $2,500, payable over one to three years, to the Trent Fund, you can honour your Trent story by dedicating a seat in Stohn Hall – named in honour of proud alumnus and chancellor Stephen Stohn ’66 and is located in the new award-winning Student Centre.
Will you consider leaving your mark on campus and dedicating a seat?
We need your help to continue Trent's history of excellence and to take the lead in shaping our future. With your contribution to the Trent Fund, we will continue to meet the changing needs of our students today and in the years to come.
We’re collecting Trent stories for our upcoming Trent Day celebrations taking place on April 4, 2023. Please take a moment to share your favourite memory of your time on campus by emailing alumni@trentu.ca.
Here are a few examples of plaques that have already been installed in Stohn Hall:
Alumnae Susan Gow ‘69 shares a touching tribute to her late husband; "In memory of a loving husband and father, A. Duncan Gow '69, a wildlife biologist, avid birdwatcher, and lover of great outdoors."
Tech entrepreneur and alumnae, Jenna Pilgrim’s '12, personalized plaque encapsulates her time at Trent and years beyond with five simple words; “Eat, Sleep, Row, Buy Bitcoin."
Former Trent University staff member and alum, Dane Shumak ’11 memorializes a special loved one with his plaque: “Dedicated in loving honour of the service of Dorothy O’Brien”. Both Dorothy and Dane worked at Trent, and it holds a special place in both their hearts
